We are a family-owned Argentine company with 30 years of experience in the national and international fishing market, enjoying a high level of prestige due to our demonstrated commercial ethics. With offices in the city of Mar del Plata, the country’s main fishing port, we offer high-quality products and support services to other companies. In our continuous pursuit of improvement, we have actively participated since our inception in the foundation and management of the Chamber of Argentine Squid Jiggers, through the leadership of our president. This involvement has allowed us to collaborate with colleagues and institutions, aligning common interests. Today, we implement safety standards and provide protective equipment to ensure safe working environments that meet food safety standards. We prioritize the safety of our employees and maintain strict hygiene practices at every stage of product processing.

History

The history of Pesquera del Este S.A. is deeply connected to the vision of our founder and current president, Mr. Guillermo De los Santos, whose passion for the sea, Argentine fishing resources, and the industry began more than three decades ago. Guillermo De los Santos, a Senior Naval Engineer, started his career working on tankers and factory ships. It was there that he honed his technical skills, learned various fishing techniques, and developed a keen interest in the entire production and commercialization cycle, particularly of squid. Over time, he purchased his first squid jigger and founded his first company alongside his then-wife and Certified Public Accountant, Mrs. Eleonora Donegana, who was a key figure in the company’s growth. Years later, around 2001, they began operating under the name Pesquera del Este S.A. Today, Guillermo and his children lead the company with a vision of expansion and sustainable growth. The family legacy and the deep connection the entire team shares with it inspire every decision we make, as we combine tradition and technology to bring the best products from the Argentine sea to the world.
